European Horizons is a non-profit organization (est. 2015) aiming to empower the youth to foster a stronger transatlantic bond and a more united Europe. Their leadership opportunities build the knowledge, experience, and confidence members need to voice their ideas.

Founded in 2017, our Amsterdam chapter is the largest and most active European Horizons chapter in Europe. We have over 50 members, five committees, and our very own academic journal: the AREA Journal.

Our chapter's vision is to allow university students in Amsterdam to examine, evaluate and propose policies that will improve our shared European future.

As said by our founders, Philipp Hackel and Mirjam Schipper:
"We noticed that the University of Amsterdam is full of eager students who have very interesting ideas, but they lacked a platform to spread those ideas. We wanted to provide them with this platform, and now they can spread their ideas internationally."
